　　The Management Team of tesa tape, inc., an affiliate of tesa SE, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, are pleased to announce the debut of a new facility in the Detroit-metro area to further enhance the level of service provided to customers within the automotive industry.

　　After decades of providing product and service solutions to the Automotive industry on a global basis, business leaders within the tesa Automotive business segment made a strategic decision to open a collaboration and solution center to optimally position tesa personnel to serve the near-term and long-term needs of customers in the industry’s epicenter. The new solution center, centrally located in Novi, formally opened its doors on December 3, 2015, with an open house event hosted by the tesa Automotive team.

　　The new tesa Automotive Solution Center is designed to showcase the many applications for which tesa products are engineered, including: permanent bonding tapes for interior and exterior components, electrical systems and component protection, vehicle identification labeling, paint masking tapes, surface coverage and protection products, and more. Configured in an expo-style setting, visitors can explore tesa product solutions in simulated application station environments. The Center also includes a replicated testing lab where select product and application tests can be performed, as well as state-of-the-art meeting space which harbors an industry-inspired glass garage door, affording it the perfect attributes for educational training sessions.

　　As the head of the global tesa Automotive business segment, Mr. Stephan Frischmuth championed the development of the new Center and offered the following insight regarding its debut: “The Automotive industry has been an integral part of the tesa global business strategy for decades, and the new Auto Solution Center is a display of our commitment to the industry for decades to come. It is this commitment, coupled with our dedication to customer intimacy, which ultimately drove our decision to open a facility within the epicenter of the Automotive Industry”.

　　The Solution Center is the newest addition to tesa’s many global facilities that offer support to the automotive industry. Under the project management of Mr. Brent Phillips, Director – Wire Harness for the Americas, in collaboration with Mrs. Nataly Askew – North American Sales Manager - Automotive OEM/OES, the Solution Center now affords the company a formal meeting and collaboration venue for members of the Detroit-based tesa Automotive team, as well as a space to host customer meetings and demonstrations.

　　Mr. Paul Sullivan, tesa’s Vice President & Global Value Chain Manager – Automotive, elaborated on the company’s decision to open the new facility: "Opening our newest Automotive Solution Center in Detroit is an important step in supporting our customers, not only in Detroit, but around the world. Automakers continue to look for partners that can support their business globally and also provide new ideas to make vehicles lighter, thinner and stronger. The new Automotive Solution Center will give tesa the opportunity to bring tesa technology and engineering closer to the customer.”
