　　Emerald Kalama Chemical L.L.C. will be releasing additions to its range of K-Flex plasticizers in 2016. These include X-121, which will be used as an underbody coating, X-124, an automotive sealant and X-505, a b-side two-part polysulfide sealant that was designed specifically for insulating glass. The products have been developed using benzoic acid, but differ from the dibenzoate esters that are used in Emerald’s other products.

　　The new additions to the Emerald range are designed for sealant systems, and have a higher molecular weight, allowing for a greater degree of permanence and greater resistance to extraction and migration, resulting in products that retain their performance and flexibility over time. X-505, a two-part polysulfide sealant will also allow for quicker cure times and cure-through.

　　The plasticizers will be available globally. They will comply with the EU Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) requirements and are currently undergoing beta testing
